MK50 Story Collection Project is live!

Ok folks, there has been agreement from the members of the Milton Keynes Nano Writing Group to create a story collection for Milton Keynes 50th birthday celebrations in 2017. Therefore I have created this website to keep information and updates about what is going on with the project. Updates will also be put on the MKNWG Facebook group and Nanowrimo Regional Forum.

The plan is to have a collection of stories about the theme of Milton Keynes.
These stories can be Fiction or Non-Fiction, poetry or prose.
These stories can be no more than 5000 words long.
These stories must be suitable to be read by people of all ages.
These stories must be contributed to the following address by midnight on 1st May 2016: mk50storycollection@gmail.com
These stories must be accompanied by about 100 words about the author of said story.

Any questions or queries please use the following email address: mk50storycollection@gmail.com

As of 6th December 2015 I have contacted MK Council about this project being part of the MK50 celebrations and how to go about getting a grant to cover the publishing costs.
I have researched that the publishing costs, through local publisher Lightning Source would be about £874.
I have contacted MK Gallery about any profits from the books being donated to the gallery for their literature projects and if the book could be sold in the gallery shop.
